Doubling down on diversity, equity, and inclusion during COVID-19

We are in weird times. For the past four months, our 140 employees haven’t seen each other in real life. In a people-centric culture where we really enjoy being together, that’s tough. And Zoom fatigue is no joke. It’s exhausting to be in back-to-back video calls all day, every day.

So, how do you hire and onboard 14 new employees and eight new summer interns without ever meeting anyone in person? And how do you make all of your employees feel included during the important conversations surrounding the pandemic, Black Lives Matter and Pride month? You do it by doubling down on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) — even if, at times, it feels like another agenda item to fit into an already-packed schedule.
